Ruby Gaea is a community-based FREE counselling, education, and information service for women and children who have experienced any form of sexual violence. We strive to create an environment where women can be provided support to make choices for themselves and their children. Through ongoing community education we continue to work towards creating a society where rape no longer exists.

Who can seek counselling at Ruby Gaea?

Any woman or child who has experienced any sexual violence in their lives. This may include sexual harassment, child sexual assault, date rape, gang rape, sexual assault in war, drink spiking, rape within marriage.

What Ruby Gaea has to offer:

  • FREE confidential counselling for women and children who have been raped or experienced any sexual violence in their lives
  • Moral support for clients undergoing medical, legal or court proceedings
  • Self-help groups for women recovering from sexual assault and groups for significant people in their lives
  • Educational workshops and training in community on the issue of sexual violence
  • Participation in public meetings and campaigns on issues of sexual violence
  • Borrowing library with resources relevant to women's issues
